Stopping Violence Services

SVS is an NGO that has been supporting families and communities in Canterbury since 1983. Our core focus is the provision of non violence education and programmes for perpetrators of family violence.

Our team has grown from 16 to 40 staff over the past five years and ACS has been instrumental in helping us mange this growth.

 

SVS Information Technology was mostly managed in-house by a couple of keen IT users to help keep the systems alive and available, but as our organisation grew and our infrastructure became older and less reliable, we turned to our contracted technical support partner - ACS.

Over the next 3 years, we transformed form an old and somewhat unreliable in-house server, accessed by aging PCs and laptops that were beginning to show signs of stress when running our core business applications, to a cloud-hosted environment that released the pressure from our desktop devices and gave us stable, high performance 24/7 access regardless of our location.

 

Our traditional phone system was replaced by Voice over IP, delivering a  more flexible and cost effective voice system and our security systems were upgraded to sophisticated video capture across our sites.

The team at ACS are a trusted partner, responsible of bringing new and robust technology to meet our changing business needs.
